| Standard security practices are those policies and
procedures and physical security measures evolving from quantitative and qualitative risk assessment that effectively deter, deny, detect, respond to or recover from reasonably predictable events. Standard security practices should not be reflexive or repetitive security methods found in other organizations that may or may not be responsive to intrinsic risks. A review of security operations examines the degree to which an organization has identified its risks and whether their procedural and physical security measures are cost productive and adequate to the level of vulnerability. |
