Facilitating Security Focus Group Studies
| Consultants who study an organization's risks and
appropriate defensive strategies cannot do so in a vacuum. No matter how diligent a consultant may be, he or she is unlikely to know the nuances of their subject as well as those who have spent years working within its culture. More importantly, any recommendations evolving from a risk assessment and defensive strategy analysis will need its culture for an achievable and sustainable result. It is critical to the success of a consulting assignment that the subject organization appoint a security focus group. LMC facilitates this focus group process by directing members to the appropriate issues, documenting the process, and providing technical resources. When members of the focus group feel a sense of ownerhsip for their recommendations, this bodes well for a program's success. |
