Prepare Security System Guidelines & RFP
In considering the purchase of a security system, the buyer must first understand their existing and future security needs. Systems often impact other operational concerns (e.g. Human Resources; Facilities/Engineering, Data Processing, etc.) and may need to be integrated with other processes. The system should adequately fulfill current security requirements and have the flexibility to grow if and when a higher level of protection or service is required. The system must also accommodate predictable cultural resistance and should therefor be as "user-friendly" as possible. Preparation of a Security System Operational Guideline or Specification and Request for Proposal provides a level playing field from which qualified vendors can present their proposals and quotations and cost of scale can be controlled. |
